AJS Advocacia was founded in 1987 in Jundiaí, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. For nearly four decades, the firm has been led by Dr. Agostinho Jerônimo da Silva, who holds postgraduate qualifications in Social Security Law and Civil Procedure from the Escola Paulista de Direito Social (EPDS), a recognized Brazilian institution for legal specialization.
Over his career, Dr. Agostinho has represented more than 700 clients in social security litigation, with a strong track record in rural retirement claims, appeals against denied government benefits, and disability benefit cases, areas of Brazilian law that are notoriously difficult to navigate without experienced local counsel.
In 2013, Dr. Agostinho's son, Gustavo Alves da Silva, joined the firm, bringing a background in marketing and technology from the private sector. His arrival marked the start of a new phase for the practice, one that eventually led to building the systems and content you're reading right now, including this English-language section built specifically for international clients.
